This board is for people to post their opinions on the movie, Twilight.
Unfortunately, I will probably not be able to see the movie until next week, so will post what I thought then.

I'm so excited! I wanted to see it tonight, but that's not going to happen. Hopefully I can see it while it's still in theaters, but I'm not so good at making it to stuff like that. Can't wait to read what other people think of it--hope it doesn't suck as much as I fear it will, especially since I'm not that crazy about the cast.

Post 3 by GoldenPhoenix (Zone BBS Addict) on Friday, 21-Nov-2008 15:33:46

I'm going to see it tonight with a few of my friends, and then again a week from today (day after Thanksgiving) with a few other people.
Apparently the theaters around my area have it audio described.

OKAY I SAW THE MOVIE TONIGHT!
And now, my life is complete. =D
Everywhere around here is sold out for the entire opening weekend. Thank God I had a pre-ordered online ticket.
The theater was packed with girls. There were a few boys strewn about too - probably boyfriends who got dragged into it.
The movie itself was amazing. They added some stuff that wasn't in the book, but it was amazing.
I'm not going to spoil it though.

Okay, well, laters. :)

agreed chelsea, i hope it doesn't suck like i have a little bit of a feeling it will cuz of some of the cast..ut i'll tell all my opinions tonight! supposed to go today. was gonna go yesterday but one of my friends had work and it was sold out

Post 6 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 22-Nov-2008 16:23:28

I was wondering if someone were going to start this topic. Like several others, I have not been able to see the movie yet, but I do plan to. I'm going to wait till the crowds thin out a little, but the theater it's at is easy to get to, so I'll see it soon, I think. I will be curious to read people's opinions here. The trailer I saw didn't impress me much, though, to be honest.

Post 7 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Saturday, 22-Nov-2008 22:10:04

OMG, i saw it. and they totally took some parts out, switched it around and added things..of course it wasn't as good as the book but of course they rarely are..but it was good enough for me..soooo much hot guys lol. and they chose an aisian guy for eric! i didn't see that one coming. edward sparkling in the sun was pretty lame..but overall i was glad i saw it...i could go on about my fav parts but don't wanna spoil anything for people

Post 8 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Saturday, 22-Nov-2008 22:14:49

oh yeah. Hold on tight spider monkey! lmao those who've seen it will understand..

Post 9 by SEPTEMBER-TWILIGHT (CAN I TALK? PLEASE?) on Saturday, 22-Nov-2008 23:06:59

oi janelle, omg, spider monkey, lol. that was awesome

i went and saw twilight tonight with a few of my friends and thank god it was relatively empty, lol. but the people in the theater kept laughing at weird parts and so yeah. but omg, i loved the trailer they put out. they chose the best parts. i wasnt relaly impressed with the cast, but watching the whole movie put it in to prospective, lol. robert pattenson played edward ... well not perfectly, but he still did a good job. and he's sooooooo sexyyyyyy! lol. bella was relaly disappointing. she sounded expressionless through the whole movie and she's totally not what i expected at all. ugh, lol. my favorite people were jasper and alice, edward, eric, woo hoo! and james and victoria. and charlie and renee. i dont know, they took some parts of the book out (as usual) and added in some parts. but i think over all, the changes and the additions made the movie better in some ways and worse in others. lol, but i'm really content now that i saw it, and i'm seeing it again next weekend, so its all good in life, lmao

Post 10 by SEPTEMBER-TWILIGHT (CAN I TALK? PLEASE?) on Saturday, 22-Nov-2008 23:10:35

oh, and "Money ... sex .... money ... sex ... cat." lol, loved it

Post 11 by Daenerys Targaryen (Enjoying Life) on Thursday, 27-Nov-2008 17:23:08

I finally saw the movie. I loved it. *Is happy now.* LOL yeah, there were some changes from the book and the book will always be better, but there were some funny parts and some sweet parts and yeah, it was awesome. I want to see it again.

Post 12 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Thursday, 27-Nov-2008 20:35:37

lmaoo minh totally agree with all of that.
and yeah that part was so funny seriously, lmao

Post 13 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Thursday, 27-Nov-2008 20:37:31

jessica was exactly who i thought she'd be and so was charly.

Post 14 by SEPTEMBER-TWILIGHT (CAN I TALK? PLEASE?) on Thursday, 27-Nov-2008 22:00:38

totally agree janelle. most of the actors were awesome and they were all what i expected them to be. just so so so so good.

Post 15 by Miss Gorgeous (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 29-Nov-2008 1:24:03

I just came home a couple of minutes ago from the movies. It was fantastic. I love the story. The movie was well done. The actors were great. I love the story lines. It was somewhat close to the book, but there’s nothing like reading the book. They did not include a few scenes from the book, but all in all, the movie was great. I’m already looking forward to New Moon. The kissing scene was all right. It took them a long time before they kissed, but they did. The dancing part was ok, but I did not like the music they used for most of the background scenes. The scenes were that needed special effects like the running and the baseball scene was great. It was a good movie.

Post 16 by Ukulele<3 (Try me... You know you want to.) on Saturday, 29-Nov-2008 12:23:08

I actually didn't like the book at all. lol But I was dragged along to see the movie. heheheh And it was pretty good. I personally thought it was better than the book but like I said, I didn't like the book. The first half was pretty boring. I kinda dozed off. But the second half got more exciting. I do want to see the second movie but only because I saw the first one. Bella sounded ugly as hell. hehehehe And Edward sounded all right. People tell me they like how Edward is so overprotective of Bella but I personally like a girl who can kick ass and be strong for herself. But yeah. It was a pretty good movie even for those who didn't think the book was so hot. So I do urge you all to go see it. lol

Post 17 by kiayaj! (You're favorite rebel!) on Saturday, 29-Nov-2008 13:19:29

hmmm, i never read the book, and as well, i was dragged to go and see it! it was all right, lol, i fell asleep like the first part of the movie, and then watched the actioned parts at the end! it was all right, kind of moved a little slow for me, but yeah, it was just ok!

Post 18 by Shadow_Cat (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Saturday, 29-Nov-2008 20:42:23

Yeah, the one thing I didn't like about the books was how overprotective everyone was of each other. Life can be dangerous, and we can't always keep the ones we love from the danger, nor should we do it if we could. Bella annoys me, because she's so weak. I know they're trying to emphasize her humanity as compared to his being a vampire, but still, she could ahve been a stronger human.

Post 19 by Queen Latina (Zone BBS is my Life) on Sunday, 30-Nov-2008 15:36:33

OK, I'm not the type that can ramble on and on about the movie, but yeah it was great. The only thing I wish I hadn't done, was read the book first. It felt like the whole movie was spoiled, because the book sounded so great and I sort of expected a little better from the movie. But I do agree, Bella was so weak. She sounded so bla to. And she is really different from the book. Like in there is really shy, her voice cracks, and other countless problems. I don't know, it wwas to changed up.

But the characters were sooooooo sexy, like yeah. There was parts that got me mad that did certain things, but over all it was a great movie.

yea, that was my longest post yet, lol.

Post 20 by choco ice cream (Veteran Zoner) on Monday, 01-Dec-2008 2:37:23

Well, I haven't seen the movie yet. The tickets here are expensive and I need to save my allowance for it. But I read the book and it is really good.

Post 21 by SEPTEMBER-TWILIGHT (CAN I TALK? PLEASE?) on Monday, 01-Dec-2008 6:01:43

Actually, I went and saw Twilight again on Friday and for some reason, the characters sucked then. Bella and Edward were just so awkward to each other! ugh! so gross, lol. It's like, they never fell in love with each other. And they didn't seem to express enough emotion, lol. I mean, it could have sucked much worse, but still.

Post 22 by Maiden of the Moonlight (Zone BBS is my Life) on Monday, 01-Dec-2008 8:17:44

Fucking hell, rofl, that movie was the shittiest most hilarious thing ever! Maybe because going with Minh and some others just makes it funnier, but Edward's singing? The fuck? I slept through a lot of it, like the part where she's meeting the other vampires, but it did get kind of exciting when the action took place, but omg James was fucking sexy! Edward sucks as an American, Bella is a man, um the rest were alright, especially absolutely loved Charlie and dtotally cried when Bella walked out on him, and omg wow just such a disappointment, but that's alright. Lol. The books are alright, but I think after having been obsessed with the Harry Potter series, nothing can compare, so yeah. The Harry Potter movies were awful too, can't lie, but since they were off the book, I still loved them. So I think that might be why some enjoyed this film.

Post 23 by Maiden of the Moonlight (Zone BBS is my Life) on Monday, 01-Dec-2008 8:19:40

Oh, and back to Edward's singing, I have never laughed so hard in my life. The people in that theater most likely want to kill us all, but that'ts is alright.

Post 24 by Emerald-Hourglass (Account disabled) on Monday, 01-Dec-2008 11:20:48

omg yes agreed about james, mmm

Post 25 by GoldenPhoenix (Zone BBS Addict) on Thursday, 04-Dec-2008 20:18:01

Edward can't sing. Case closed.
And no one in the theater (both times I saw it) laughed at all during his singing.
Personally, I didn't even know it was him until my cousin showed me a clip of the song on iTunes. I didn't listen to it on the soundtrack.
He kind of sounds like a country singer, but...

Yeah. The movie ROCKED.

Post 26 by Daenerys Targaryen (Enjoying Life) on Thursday, 04-Dec-2008 22:18:49

Yeah, poor guy can't sing.

Post 27 by Ok Sure (This site is so "educational") on Thursday, 04-Dec-2008 22:52:34

Watching that movie, was about the second worst decision of my life.

And I didn't even watch the entire movie, just the first 15 minutes or so.

The first worst decision of my life was actually deciding I wanted to see it.

Post 28 by SEPTEMBER-TWILIGHT (CAN I TALK? PLEASE?) on Friday, 05-Dec-2008 0:54:58

lmfao okay sure. lmao. omg Sarah I know. You and Morgayne made me laugh when he was singing. I don't know, I wish he wouldn't moan and wail in his singing, what's wrong with that, lol. Bella just sounds like a guy. And I'm going to be so sad when New Moon comes out. I'm going to be so disappointed, I just know it. *cries* Maybe they can change the actors? ... wishful thinking? :P

Post 29 by cumbiambera2005 (i just keep on posting!) on Friday, 05-Dec-2008 9:49:25

Ok clicked on this board thinking someone was going to spoil it just a little....well ok a little more than that...I haven't been to see it yet. i want to but when my family went i couldn't go for reasons I wont go into but yeah...want to see it though! Maybe when the crowds die out or something...dont know with who maybe I'll have to wait for it to come out on dvd oh well...anyway sounds interesting from reading these posts though and I really like the books so I bet the movie probably wont be as great except maybe just making it more action...welll at least that's what I hope...anyway yeah.

Post 30 by Maiden of the Moonlight (Zone BBS is my Life) on Friday, 05-Dec-2008 15:20:19

Lol Minh, yeah. Omg, Alex, that was hilarious! I love how everyone is obsessing about the stupid movie and it's not even good. I really love saying to someone, "Have you seen Wtilight? " Then they respond, "Omg! Yes! I loved it, didn't you?" And then I always say, "Uh, no, worst movie I've ever seen." rofl

Post 31 by metal angel (Help me, I'm stuck to my chair!) on Friday, 05-Dec-2008 18:12:11

Well, I freaking loved it! I thought the actors did an amazing job. (Hell no Bella doesn't sound like a guy, her voice's just a little low) and it was just awesome overall! I'm buying it as soon as it comes out!

Post 32 by Queen Latina (Zone BBS is my Life) on Sunday, 07-Dec-2008 15:10:44

When does Edward sing, i don't remember that in the movie.

Yeah a lot of people liked the movie over here, and it was good, I guess but like WTF? Bella does sound like a guy, and if any of you'll have read midnight sun, You would know how much Edward loves her. And in the movie, it's like he's more like her body guard, and many other reasons that he would hang around her instead of him actually loving her. The only thing that might sugest that is when he kisses her, but still...

The only good of this is when my friends and I are gonna see the movie this Friday, then it will spoil it for them, one thing to look forward to.

Post 33 by metal angel (Help me, I'm stuck to my chair!) on Friday, 02-Jan-2009 1:43:57

I saw it again yesterday! I still loved it! And I didn't remember his singing ether times I went. Oh well. But, then again, there's always,
Money...sex...money...sex...cat... and then with you, nothing! Lol!

Post 34 by JonasBrothersFan4ever (All American Girl ) on Thursday, 15-Jan-2009 21:36:23

I loved loved the movie! I only saw it once! Can't wait to get the DVD when it comes out! I want to read the books now!
